2024 AbbyBank Volunteer Day
Each October for one day, AbbyBank closes its doors to open our hearts to those who need it most, and this year was no exception! We are incredibly proud to share the impact we made during our annual volunteer day:

Together, we demonstrated the power of community and what one bank can achieve when we unite as a team! Whether it was making crafts, painting, cleaning, or even moving furniture, our employees time and dedication made a significant difference.
2024 Hurricane Helene Relief
We know the power of community during times like these. We're proud to announce that AbbyBank joined forces with Hurricane Relief of Central Wisconsin to support those affected by the storms. In the Month of October, AbbyBank is teaming up with the American Bankers Association (ABA) to help you learn how to spot a scam! Every year, thousands of people lose money to phishing scams. If a hacker were pretending to be your bank, would you be able to tell? Take the quiz to test your scammer IQ. Also, throughout the month of October, check out our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for information to help you spot common scams.
2024 School Supply/Meal Collection Drives
Help local students in need receive a backpack filled with school supplies or food items for the new year!
Abbotsford, Wausau, and Weston AbbyBank locations are collecting school supplies for Workforce Volunteer Council's Fill a Backpack Fill a Need (FABFAN) program until August 12, 2024! Drop-off locations for FABFAN in Abbotsford, 401 E. Spruce Street; Wausau, 305 S. 18th Avenue; and Weston, 2405 Schofield Avenue.
NEW School Supplies Needed:

- Washable glue bottles (4 oz.)
- Large pink erasers
- Washable glue sticks
- Highlighters
- Colored pencils (12 count box)
- Crayons (24 count box)
- Colored washable markers

- 2-pocket folders (red, blue, yellow, or green only)
- Wide-lined single subject notebooks (red, blue, yellow, or green only)

Gresham and Shawano AbbyBank locations are collecting school supplies for The Salvation Army of Shawano County Backpacks for Kids program until August 8th, 2024. Drop-off locations in Gresham, 801 Main Street and Shawano, 1213 E. Green Bay Street.

2024 Shred Day - August 14th
Safeguard your personal information! Stop by our participating AbbyBank locations on August 14th, 2024 between 8:30 am - 4:00 pm to have your confidential documents shredded for FREE. Plus, help your community by bringing non-perishable food or hygiene items to support a local food pantry!
Important Information
- Limit of 2 copy paper size boxes per person
- Remove all plastics, metals, paper clips, binder clips, rubber bands, and hanging file folders.
- Locked bins in the lobbies with slots for document drop-off. The bins will be locked up overnight and picked up by IROW the next day to be securely shredded off-site.

2024 Community Banking Week
This is the seventh year AbbyBank and the Wisconsin Bankers Association have participated in Power of Community Week in April. This is a week for all Community Banks to show our communities how much we care! You will find us participating in things like; teaching children to save, shopping local at various businesses, collecting needed items for local food pantries and other nonprofit organizations, serving a lunch to support various nonprofit organizations, recording book readings for classrooms, and much much more! AbbyBank participated in a Holiday Wishes Tree at four of our locations. In 2023, the community helped us bring joy and the Christmas spirit to over 400 children in the Abbotsford, Medford, Wausau and Weston areas through our Holiday Wishes Trees. AbbyBank also participated with the Shawano County Toys for Tots Program in our Gresham and Shawano locations.

We are collecting at our Wausau, Weston and Abbotsford locations for the United Way of Marathon County/Workforce Volunteer Council - drop off locations in Wausau, 305 S. 18th Avenue; Weston, 2405 Schofield Avenue and Abbotsford, 401 E. Spruce Street. Collecting until August 13, 2023.

2023 Taste N' Glow Balloon Fest
Hot air balloons are coming to Wausau! See them in July west of Wausau. There will be plenty of things to do with the kids and fun things for the adults as well! AbbyBank is sponsoring Citrus in the Sky and Karalyn Mumm will be the pilot. Learn more on the Taste 'N Glow website.
